Objective: People with poor body image have an increased risk of experiencing mental health difficulties as well. This presentation will discuss the risks, provide general competency regarding improving a clients’ body acceptance, review strategies to minimize risk of further mental health complications and discuss practice guidelines for treating this population.
Means: This course will employ the use of training videos, lecture, and role play training. There will be plenty of time for questions and the trainees are happy to tailor this training as participants see helpful.
