Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who earned her undergraduate degree in Counseling from Marshall University, a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University and recently a Masters of Education from The College of Mount St. Joseph. Amanda has experience working with children and adolescents within a separate educational facility providing group therapy, individual therapy, crisis management and consultation. Amanda has also worked with school aged children and their families in the outpatient setting. Amanda got her start completing an internship at Marshall University working with college students identified as having Asperger’s Syndrome.
Her passion is working with children and young adults. She loves to see the transformation and confidence as they meet their goals. Amanda has experience with Animal Assisted Therapy; specifically with those needing social skills training. Animals can often supplement the progress of therapy. All of Amanda’s dogs are Certified Therapy Dogs. Animal Assisted Therapy is an option if it fits into the course of treatment.
