I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Indiana Wesleyan University and my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. I have experienced providing individual, family, and group therapy to people of all ages, primarily children and teens between the ages of 5-18. I have a passion for working with children and teens who are experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, family transitions, eating disorders, ADHD, adjustment disorders, childhood disorders, depression, and behavior modification.
I believe that therapy is a partnership between client and therapist, working collaboratively towards goals they have set together for the benefit of the client. I enjoy helping clients from a client-centered perspective, while incorporating CBT and motivational interviewing. I have a genuine passion for helping others and providing support through difficult seasons of their lives, and I truly believe that therapy can be an effective tool for anyone wanting to make a positive change in their life. I do my best to create a warm and supportive environment so that my clients feel safe to be honest with themselves and make the positive changes they are looking to make. I have a background in ministry and I am actively involved in my church, and I am happy to integrate faith into therapy sessions if requested by the client.
