Gene has 50+ years experience in individual, group, couple and family therapies with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and age groups in the Tri-State. These groups include inner city street gang work, residential treatment of youths and 6 to 21, locked ward, rural comprehensive mental health, school consultation, out-patient therapy, court involved high-conflict and co-parenting therapy, and therapy with veterans from all of the U.S involved wards sine W.WI. In his practice he has treated almost every problem imaginable.
Gene also has decades of clinical social work and family therapy teaching experience beginning in 1973 with senior social work majors at Thomas More College and University of Cincinnati as well as teaching graduate students at The College of Mt St. Joseph’s Family Studies program. He has supervised, taught and trained general adult psychiatry residents and child psychiatry fellows as well as Family Medicine residents since 1983. He has served as a consultant and trainer to transplant surgery attending physicians at University of Cincinnati and since 1984 has supervised, trained, and taught licensed psychologists, MSWs, LPCCs and MDs in the extern Family Therapy Center Training Program. He has provided hundreds of therapy workshops to professionals and agencies in the Tri-State area.
He has monitored-supervised and/or provided psychotherapy to impaired/errant M.D.s (five year consent agreement) and Ph.D. psychologists (3 year consent agreement) for state boards and provides quarterly reports as to their compliance and progress with recommendations to continue to practice or not. Thus far he has monitored/treated, two M.D.s and three Ph.D.s.
He was appointed the police officer evaluator for when he/she used his/her weapon by Chief Terry Zinzer of the Union Township police department in Clermont County Ohio until his retirement.
Gene has an office in Fairfield. He has been married for 40+ years to Tracy and has 2 adopted children. His hobbies are painting, weight lifting and Kachina and Santos making.
