Meghan Anderson, MSW, LSW

Meghan Anderson

Practices at the Western Hills, West Chester, Anderson and Fairfield offices.

As far as I’m concerned the point of life is to learn, grow, and have fun. Struggles with anxiety, depression, and other life challenges can seriously inhibit all of that. I strive to guide clients to greater creativity, joy, and fulfillment in their unique life using a strengths-based, interactive approach to therapy with adolescents (14+) and adults.

I am a Licensed Social Worker and I enjoy working with a wide range of clients. In my practice I specialize in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and question (LGBTQ) affirmative treatment. I completed my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) at Hunter College, City University of New York and my undergraduate degree in Theater and Visual Arts at Fordham University in New York City.

I was inspired to pursue my MSW after volunteering with The Trevor Project’s suicide prevention helpline for LGBTQ youth. At Hunter College, I lead the Gender and Sexuality Alliance, a student organization committed to the equity of all sexual orientations, genders, and identities and earned an internship with IHI Therapy Center (formerly The Institute for Human Identity) a leader in LGBTQ affirmative psychotherapy since 1973. Upon graduation, I joined the staff at IHI before returning to my home town of Cincinnati.

Outside of my career in social work, I have over 10 years of experience supporting diverse and eclectic populations in the worlds of art and design, fashion, and finance.

n-Network with the Following Insurance Carriers

Meghan is currently working with insurance companies to become credentialed as in-network with most managed care plans. If you feel like they are the best fit for you and still want to use your insurance while they are credentialing we can still bill towards insurance companies using your out of network benefits or we can forego insurance altogether and the front office can quote you their private pay rates when you call to schedule.
